Alexander Gross is a visual artist working with photography, editing, and printed matter. Born in Jerez de la Frontera (Spain), he lives and works in Madrid.

His practice engages with the construction and recontextualization of images, frequently drawing from his own photographic archive. Through editing—understood as a primary artistic operation—images are fragmented, sequenced, and remixed to generate new meanings.

The book is a key space in his work, where he explores narrative through sequencing, alongside a sustained interest in self-publishing, fanzine culture, and DIY practices. His work also expands into the material possibilities of the printed image, engaging with exhibition formats where scale, texture, and spatial relationships shape the experience.

His work has been exhibited internationally, including at Los Angeles Art Book Fair, Manizales, Ghent, and Madrid.

Alongside his artistic practice, he collaborates with brands and cultural institutions such as Adidas, Jägermeister, Prime Video, Museo Nacional Reina Sofía, and Matadero Madrid.

He is the founder of ALEXANDER GROSS STUDIO, a multidisciplinary practice focused on photography, creative direction, and design.
